General Electrical Superintendent – Commercial Construction
Goliath Construction Consulting is seeking a
General Electrical Superintendent
on behalf of a leading electrical contractor specializing in large-scale
commercial, institutional, and mixed-use projects . This is an opportunity to lead field operations for a respected and rapidly growing company known for its technical excellence, safety culture, and ability to deliver complex projects on time and on budget.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations and manpower for multiple commercial electrical projects.
Develop and implement field procedures, ensuring adherence to
safety, quality, and schedule goals .
Partner with project managers and engineers to align field execution with project objectives and budgets.
Conduct regular jobsite visits to assess progress, safety compliance, and field productivity.
Mentor and train superintendents, general foremen, and journeyman electricians to build leadership depth.
Review blueprints, drawings, and electrical schematics to validate constructability and sequencing.
Support preconstruction and estimating teams by providing field insight for project planning and schedules.
Lead coordination with general contractors, subcontractors, and inspection agencies to ensure smooth workflow.
Enforce company policies and foster a
culture of accountability and teamwork
on every project site.
Qualifications
10+ years of electrical construction experience , including at least
5 years in a superintendent or general superintendent role .
Proven track record managing
commercial or institutional electrical projects
($5M+).
Deep knowledge of
NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA , and other industry standards.
Ability to read and interpret
electrical drawings, schematics, one-lines, and submittals .
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with field management tools (Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, or similar).
Current OSHA 30-hour certification (or ability to obtain).
Electrical Journeyman or Master License preferred.
