Qualifications
Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
At least 7 years of directly related experience.
Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques, and criteria.
Excellent written and oral communication skills for conveying detailed technical data.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate within a team environment.
Advanced problem identification and problem‑resolution skills.
Leadership characteristics and a questioning, self‑checking attitude.
Proficiency with specific software tools (CAD, FEA, CFD) and programming skills.
Experience with light‑water reactors and familiarity with plant system thermal‑hydraulic and core response during transients.
Experience using RELAP or similar code to simulate reactor system behavior during postulated accidents.
Customer focus and ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
Perform new or revise existing postulated accident analyses using a Framatome version of RELAP5.
Evaluate and document the impact of plant and core design changes on existing Safety Analyses.
Contribute to methods‑development activities in support of new fuel products, customer requirements, or licensing regulatory changes.
Develop automation and software tools to improve operating efficiency or software capabilities.
Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams to ensure successful customer delivery.
Occasional travel may be required.
Benefits and Compensation The base salary range for this position is $112,000 – $152,000, with potential annual incentives, performance bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package.
