The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of USC Department of Psychiatry & the Behavioral Sciences and Pediatrics and the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) is actively seeking a full‑time Child‑Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our faculty as Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and the Behavioral Sciences and Pediatrics (Clinician Educator).

The Division of Psychiatry is seeking a dedicated full‑time Child‑Adolescent Psychiatrist to join the Inpatient Consultation‑Liaison Psychiatry Service at CHLA. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team of Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists, Pediatric Psychologists, and Psychiatric Social Workers in a highly supportive environment.

Responsibilities Include

Clinical Care : Provide multidisciplinary mental health assessments, treatment interventions, and recommendations. Provide consultation to primary medical teams, consultant teams, and allied health professionals on matters relating to mental health, pediatric psychology, and behavioral medicine.

Education & Teaching : Teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows in child and adolescent psychiatry and pediatrics.

Research : Participating in or leading research initiatives that align with the division’s academic goals.

Children’s Hospital serves as the premier pediatric referral resource for children and adolescents in the Southwestern United States and is nationally recognized for its advances in pediatric care, teaching, and research. Ranked fifth on the US News & World Report Best Children’s Hospitals Honor Roll, CHLA achieved national rankings in 11 pediatric specialties. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting‑edge research, deliver comprehensive clinical care, and drive innovation in mental health at a leading academic institution and nationally recognized pediatric hospital.

The annual base salary range for this position is $95,904–$325,712. When extending an offer of employment, USC considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.

Academic appointment through USC Keck School of Medicine is available at a level appropriate to training and experience.
