The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of USC and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neonatology, are actively seeking a full-time faculty member for a Clinician Educator track as either Professor or Clinical Professor of Pediatrics. Academic Faculty Positions in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine are available at the Associate Professor level or higher. The positions are clinically focused and involve education of pediatric residents and neonatal-perinatal fellows, along with clinical service in CHLA’s 58-bed, level IV Newborn and Infant Critical Care Unit and in one of our community NICUs. The Fetal and Neonatal Institute consists of the CHLA Division of Neonatal Medicine and the CHLA-USC Maternal Fetal Center. The Division currently includes 27 faculty members. Responsibilities
Provide clinical service in the CHLA NICU and in one of the community NICUs. Contribute to education of pediatric residents and neonatal-perinatal fellows. Engage in activities related to clinical service, teaching, and scholarly work as appropriate for a non-tenure track faculty position. Qualifications
Must hold MD or DO degree. Board certified in Pediatrics. Board certified or eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. More than 5 years of experience in a level IV NICU, including ECMO. Must be eligible for a California medical license. Desirable qualifications
Clinical experience in neonatology. Strength in teaching. Experience in patient-oriented, educational, quality improvement/performance improvement or outcome research. Strong oral and written communication/interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a complex, high-intensity academic environment. Compensation and environment
The annual base salary range is $158,177–$517,500.
