Our client, a well-established engineering consultancy with multiple offices across the Southeast, is seeking a Director of Transportation to lead and grow their transportation group in Georgia. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the strategic direction of a high-performing team, drive business development, and play a key role in delivering complex transportation infrastructure projects across the region. Base pay range
$150,000.00/yr - $220,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities
Lead business development initiatives with GDOT, municipalities, and regional transportation agencies. Grow and strengthen client relationships while identifying new market opportunities. Oversee planning, design, and delivery of roadway, intersection, and multimodal transportation projects. Manage project schedules, budgets, and technical execution to ensure top-quality outcomes. Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical oversight to a growing team of engineers and project managers. Collaborate with senior leadership to set growth strategies and expand the firm’s transportation capabilities across the Southeast. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred). Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Georgia or ability to obtain within 6 months. 15+ years of experience in transportation design and project delivery. Proven success managing GDOT and municipal projects. Strong background with MicroStation, OpenRoads, and related transportation design tools.
