We’re seeking a
Shop Manager
who is exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at providing outstanding customer service. This role is the heartbeat of our workroom — managing day-to-day operations, keeping everything running smoothly, and serving as the key connection between our clients and seamstresses. The ideal candidate enjoys keeping systems tidy and efficient, communicates clearly and professionally, and understands the basics of sewing and fabric construction. Hours: 8:30am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday. What You’ll Do
Oversee and coordinate daily operations in the workroom Keep the workspace and inventory organized and efficient Receive and label incoming fabrics and materials Review work orders and communicate clear, accurate details to seamstresses Build strong working relationships with seamstresses to ensure teamwork and quality results Manage customer experience from start to finish — setting expectations, providing updates, and maintaining excellent communication Track timelines and ensure all projects are completed accurately and on schedule Inspect finished work for quality and readiness before delivery or pickup Lift and move fabric bolts and finished goods (up to 50 lbs) What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in a sewing, upholstery, drapery, or similar fabrication environment preferred Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Strong communication and customer service abilities Understanding of basic sewing or textile construction for home goods Ability to manage relationships with both clients and seamstresses professionally Comfortable juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced setting Reliable, punctual, and proactive Comfortable with physical work and standing throughout the day Compensation
$48,000 – $55,000 per year , depending on experience Benefits include paid time off and employer contribution of up to
$250/month
