temporary part-time Wetlands Administrator
to support the
Natural Resources Commission (NRC)
and the
Wetlands Protection Committee (WPC)
in administering and enforcing the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act and the Wellesley Wetlands Protection Bylaw. The Administrator provides professional and technical guidance to ensure the protection and stewardship of the Town’s wetlands, waterways, and related natural resources. Responsibilities include: Reviewing permit applications and advising applicants and Town boards Managing WPC meetings and records Conducting site inspections and responding to violations Coordinating with state and federal agencies Maintaining GIS databases and online permitting systems Developing educational materials Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree
in Wildlife Biology, Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Geology, Civil Engineering, or a related field At least one year of experience
in land-use or wetlands management Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills Proficiency with
Microsoft Office
and
GIS Valid driver’s license
required Pay range:
