ENR Top 15 General Contractor
is seeking an experienced MEP Estimator to join its Baltimore office. This role focuses on supporting preconstruction efforts across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and low-voltage systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, collaboration skills, and the ability to manage estimates from concept through completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed MEP quantity takeoffs, cost analyses, and estimates from conceptual through final design. Review drawings, specifications, and site conditions to identify scope and cost impacts. Build relationships with local suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing. Lead MEP trade partner bid reviews, evaluate proposals, and manage scope coverage. Coordinate with design teams, engineers, and project staff to resolve design and constructability issues. Develop and present value engineering options and lifecycle cost analyses. Support procurement and assist in change order evaluations. Maintain accurate cost data and estimating records. Mentor junior estimators as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management. Minimum 3 years of MEP estimating experience. Strong knowledge of MEP systems and ability to interpret contract documents. Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Work Setup: This is an in-office position based in Baltimore, MD, with occasional site visits.
