Position Description:

United Brick & Fireplace is seeking a passionate and relationship-driven

Architectural Sales Representative

to join our family business team. This role is ideal for someone who loves building connections, thrives in a dynamic and growing company, and takes pride in helping architects, builders, and designers bring their visions to life. Our Architectural Sales team is the creative and technical bridge between design professionals and our product offerings - including both masonry and fireplaces across the state of Wisconsin. You’ll represent industry-leading brands in brick, stone, and fireplace products, working closely with architects and builders to specify materials, provide design support, and deliver competitive project proposals. Your expertise and responsiveness will ensure that United Brick & Fireplace remains the trusted resource for inspiring design, product integrity, and long-term partnerships. This role works directly with our Leadership Team, inside and outside sales staff, and vendor partners to deliver an exceptional experience from concept to completion.

Responsibilities:

Identifying, researching, and prospecting new customers via CRM Establish and maintain value-driven relationships with prospective customer base. Grow existing customer base that lead to increased sales and revenue Working in conjunction with local, regional, and national promotional efforts within masonry and paving Analyzing market and industry trends to develop statewide action plans to capitalize on shifts in market opportunities Preparing sales reports and prospecting activity reports for bi-weekly sales meetings Monitor all necessary lead sources to create and create and distribute estimate proposals and maintain follow up with customers maintain project bids while maintain communication through estimate and project completion timelines Communicate project details with internal team members and manager/owner Responsible for proper documentation of information. Any and all verbal commitments are to be documented properly and signed off by customers. 50-70% daily travel expected, limited overnight or multi-day travel. Based in Madison, WI Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years equivalent work experience, training and education in sales Experience with Masonry (stone & brick) product lines is preferred, but not required Valid driver’s license and a good driving record is a must - this role requires statewide travel for meetings, information sessions, site visits, and more High sales aptitude, self-motivated, and goal-oriented Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Working knowledge of required software programs (Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and Quickbooks) Understanding of ASTM specifications Effective time management skills Ability to analyze customer situation and identify opportunities for success Effective decision making and problem-solving skills Effective team interaction skills with high aptitude for team collaboration Ability to work independently with limited supervision
