About the Role
The organization is seeking an accomplished Vice President of Finance to join their team. This key leadership role is fundamental to ensuring the financial health and sustainability of our mission-driven initiatives. The ideal candidate will provide strategic financial oversight, manage all fiscal operations, and align resources with the organization's long-term vision and goals.
As the Vice President of Finance, you will lead critical functions including accounting, budgeting, and reporting. Your expertise will be crucial in developing financial strategies that support program growth while delivering accurate and transparent financial reports to the executive team and Board of Directors. Your responsibilities will also encompass grants management, audit coordination, risk management, and enhancing resource development.
Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an emphasis on CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred. A minimum of 7 years of experience in finance or accounting is required, including at least 3 years in a nonprofit environment, alongside 5 years of supervisory experience. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of nonprofit finance, grants management, and compliance, combined with strong collaboration, communication, and systems-thinking skills. You will be instrumental in building and leading an inclusive finance team, partnering across the organization to drive data-driven decision-making and foster sustainable growth.
