The merchandising & stocking associate role is a great way to start a fulfilling career at Sam’s Club. Our associates help members find everything they need, from everyday items to special occasions, by keeping shelves stocked and the backroom organized. Depending on the shift, duties may include moving inventory, unloading trucks, fulfilling club pick-up orders, or assisting members while stocking shelves. This is a fast-paced, physically demanding role that can feel like a workout, and you will be part of a team working toward the goal of helping members find what they love, for less. Responsibilities

Promptly unloading trucks Assisting fellow associates as needed throughout the store Sorting and stocking products on shelves and in the backroom Engaging with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude Maintaining a clean, neat, and member-ready area Ensuring club pick up orders are filled by assisting with picking club pick up orders and staging according to policy What you'll do

Provides member service by acknowledging the member and identifying needs; guiding and supporting members regarding self-service technology; assisting with purchasing decisions; locating merchandise; resolving issues; and promoting company products and services Maintains facility safety by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, handling and disposing of hazardous materials per guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations Maintains sales floor and merchandise presentation by zoning, stocking, organizing, setting up displays, removing damaged goods, pricing merchandise, and identifying shrink Monitors product quality and rotation, codes, recalls, and sanitation per policies; ensures prominent display of promotional and seasonal merchandise Adheres to company policies and ethics; uses the Open Door Policy in business processes Completes work assignments by prioritizing tasks, coordinating with managers and coworkers, and adapting to change Qualifications
