The merchandising & stocking associate role supports members by ensuring they can find products on their shopping list. The job may include moving inventory in the backroom, unloading trucks, fulfilling club pick-up orders, or helping members while stocking shelves. The role can be physically demanding, with tasks such as unloading trucks or stocking freezer items. Provides member service by acknowledging the member and identifying member needs; offering guidance regarding self-service technology; assisting with purchasing decisions; locating merchandise; resolving member issues; and promoting the company's products and services. Maintains safety of the facility according to company policies by conducting safety sweeps; following forklift spotting procedures; handling and disposing of hazardous materials as required; and reporting unsafe situations. Maintains sales floor and merchandise presentation by zoning the area; stocking, arranging and organizing merchandise; setting up, cleaning and organizing product displays; removing damaged goods; pricing merchandise; identifying shrink and damages; and securing fragile and high-shrink items. Monitors product quality by ensuring proper rotation, code dating, recalls, and sanitation standards; and ensuring prominent display of promotional and seasonal merchandise. Complies with company policies and ethics by applying related action plans and Open Door Policy in daily processes. Completes work by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and partners; prioritizing deadlines; communicating progress; and identifying opportunities for improvement. Ensures club pick up orders are filled by assisting with picking and staging throughout the day according to policy and procedures.
