This position description reflects the Sr. Manager, Product Development for Member’s Mark within Sam's Club. The role focuses on driving the creation of innovative, high-quality Home items that blend technical excellence with trend-savvy style—designed to meet the real needs of our members. It involves shaping seasonal direction, mentoring a team, and collaborating across functions to deliver commercially successful, member-loved products at scale.

What you'll do

Design and deliver industry-leading, high-quality styles that reflect the Member’s Mark design ethos and meet the functional needs of our members. Apply technical expertise in construction to effectively communicate with business and factory partners. Participate in construction reviews, ensuring every item meets aesthetic, functional, and financial goals—including cost and initial markup (IMU) considerations. Demonstrate strong market awareness with a deep understanding of the industry and emerging trends. Exhibit exceptional organization and communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a dynamic, multi-track calendar. Drive cross-functional success by ensuring alignment and collaboration across Product Development, Quality, Merchandising, Raw Materials, Sourcing, Color and Textures, Planning, and Product Education. Lead and inspire through collaborative brainstorming, concept development, and seasonal direction—acting as both a visionary leader and a supportive mentor. Partner with Merchants to balance commercial viability with innovation, while staying responsive to sell-through data, market shifts, and evolving member preferences.

What you'll bring

Experience: 6+ years in product development, brand management, merchandising, or related area. Expertise: Strong understanding of Home trends, materials, color theory, and design execution across multiple categories. Experience managing supplier relationships and direct imports. Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop brand strategies that align with business goals and respond to market trends. Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop design teams, manage budgets, and drive cross-functional collaboration. Analytical Skills: Proficiency in leveraging data and analytics to inform design, pricing, and merchandising decisions. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
