Position Overview

Responsible for assisting in the day-to-day execution of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations and company standards. Working across manufacturing and R&D laboratories, perform tasks essential to employee safety, including conducting safety inspections, assisting with incident management, implementing machine guarding checks, and maintaining chemical inventory. Assist the EHS team with key environmental compliance activities related to regulated waste handling, air emissions reporting, and stormwater management. Responsibilities

Compliance Audits & Inspection: Conduct periodic compliance inspections and internal audits to ensure adherence to Cal/OSHA and other federal/state EHS regulations. Help prepare and submit required EHS reports. EHS Program Implementation: Support the implementation and maintenance of key EHS programs, including Hazard Communication, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Ergonomics, Emergency Response, Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP), and Hazardous Waste Management, documenting program changes and training records. Risk Management: Assist with Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and risk assessments for manufacturing, R&D, and laboratory activities. Training & Communication: Develop and conduct EHS training sessions for new hires and current associates on various topics (e.g., general safety, hazardous waste handling, emergency procedures, etc.). Promote EHS awareness and actively participate in safety committees and communication efforts. Incident Management: Assist in the investigation of EHS incidents, help determine root causes, and track corrective actions to closure by utilizing the EHS management system. Compliance & Quality: Comply with applicable laws and regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements, and demonstrate ethics and integrity in all matters throughout the organization. Perform additional duties as assigned. Salary Range: $63,388-$79,235. Financial compensation packages may be higher or lower than listed and will depend on factors including relevant experience, internal equity, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs, and market demand. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics, or related field of study, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of relevant professional experience in Environmental, Health and Safety. Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and production associates across various departments. Foundational understanding of state and federal EHS regulations (e.g., Cal/OSHA) and key EHS program concepts such as emergency response, incident investigation, and basic ergonomics. Analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach to tasks and inspections. A proactive, self-starter mentality with the ability to adapt quickly and work effectively within a team-based environment. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to successfully complete daily responsibilities and assigned projects.
