La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at our oceanfront property. This role reports to restaurant management and supports the delivery of exceptional guest experiences following LJBTC, Inc.'s Signature Service standards.
Compensation Base pay range: $25.00/hr - $25.00/hr

Summary The La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club is seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at our oceanfront property. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assigns work to employees and monitors performance to maintain Signature Service standards.
Estimate food and beverage costs and requisition or purchase supplies for front-of-house operations.
Collaborate with the Sous Chef, management, and other service personnel to maximize menu options and dining room, bar, and banquet operations.
Inspect food and food preparation to maintain service standards and sanitation; delegate follow-up to maintain cleanliness.
Investigate and resolve food quality and service complaints.
Review financial transactions and monitor budget to ensure efficient operation within budget.
At busy times, cover any position of the Dining Room Staff as needed.
Monitor staffing levels and ensure floor coverage at all times.
Fill in as needed by business demand on the dining floor and in the bar.
Other duties may be assigned.
Schedule and Working Conditions Shifts are generally rotated; hours may vary based on business needs. The work environment includes potential exposure to moving parts, wet/humid conditions, chemicals, and loud noise. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable performance of essential functions.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience: An Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively in English.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages, and other figures; basic algebra and geometry understanding.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in various formats.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must have and maintain a current Food Handlers Card and RBS certificate.
Other Skills: Proficiency with standard office software; prior experience with restaurant management systems is a plus.
Physical Demands Possess the ability to stand for extended periods, walk, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable performance of essential functions.
