Position Overview: Biopharma Territory Sales Manager
In this vital role, you will sell Getinge’s pharmaceutical equipment and service contracts by collaborating with sales specialists to develop strategic approaches for engaging priority accounts and discovering new opportunities. Utilize your expertise in our products and market strategies to drive responsible profit margins and expand market share.
This position reports to the Director of Sales Life Science and maintains a focus on an extensive territory across 17 states, including NV, ID, MT, WY, UT, CO, ND, SD, NE, KS, MN, IA, MO, WI, IL, MI, and IN. Location preferences include Indianapolis, IN; Chicago, IL; Milwaukee, WI; St. Louis, MO; Kansas City, MO; or the Detroit, MI area near a major airport. Candidates must reside within this territory.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve or surpass assigned sales goals for each product category while managing expenses effectively.
Collaborate with sales specialists and service teams to create strategies for optimal account penetration and to explore opportunities for bundled services and products.
Engage in account-planning activities, tracking progress and submitting timely updates and reports as required.
Prepare territory forecasts and maintain call planning agendas highlighting customer visits and progress. Attend scheduled conference calls with the Sales Director.
Leverage company-provided customer relationship management tools (e.g., Salesforce.com, account planners, dashboards) efficiently.
Work in tandem with Customer Support Operations, Service, and project management teams to ensure top product performance and high customer satisfaction.
Communicate clearly with customers, contractors, architects, and project managers regarding product utility and installation requirements.
Build and sustain positive working relationships with clients, demonstrating professionalism in alignment with Getinge’s Code of Conduct and Values. Respond to all inquiries promptly.
Keep abreast of product knowledge through effective use of training materials and technical data provided by the company.
Participate in training seminars, meetings, and on-the-job training opportunities to enhance your skill set.
Represent Getinge at regional and national trade shows as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or a comparable combination of education and experience.
At least 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on selling capital equipment to end users. Experience in a prescriptive sales methodology is preferred.
Required Skills and Attributes:
Proven complex sales experience; knowledge of Getinge's Life Science equipment portfolio is an asset.
Proficient in technology; capable of using Microsoft Windows and Office applications, with experience in customer relationship management systems strongly preferred.
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed (2-3 days per week); must reside within the assigned territory and possess a valid driver’s license.
Compensation Summary
Total Compensation = $209,553 ($95,000 base + $114,553 at target incentive for territory)
