The
Senior Manager Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security
is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the company’s environmental, health, safety, and security programs to ensure compliance with international, federal, state, and local regulations as well as contractual commitments, while fostering a strong culture of safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement. This leader will provide strategic direction, technical expertise, and operational oversight to mitigate risk, enhance workplace and onsite safety, manage global security protocols, and promote environmental stewardship across all business units and facilities worldwide. Title will reflect commensurate experience. Key Responsibilities
(may include but are not limited to): Develop and lead the overall EHSS vision and strategy aligned with company objectives. Partner with senior leadership to integrate EHSS goals into business planning and performance metrics. Build and mentor a high-performing EHSS team across the company, promoting accountability and engagement. Serve as the primary liaison for EHSS matters with regulatory agencies, customers, service providers, security vendors, and internal stakeholders. Manage post-execution risk assessments in a customer-facing capacity. Compliance & Risk Management
Lead and manage the company’s HSE management system. Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, FAA, and other applicable international, federal, state, and local EHSS regulations as well as industry standard and contractual commitments in the company’s customer industries. Oversee and facilitate customer and service provider EHSS reporting compliance and maintenance. Oversee the development and further implementation of safety procedures, monitoring, and reporting for laser manufacturing, LiDAR system testing, and service providers. Oversee audits, inspections, and corrective actions internally and externally, including for Bridger’s Aerial and Drone Service Providers; manage reporting to regulatory authorities and customers as required. Maintain current knowledge of emerging regulations, industry trends, and best practices. Develop and manage EHSS management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.) and policies. Safety Programs
Lead workplace and onsite safety initiatives to reduce incidents, injuries, and near misses. Oversee hazard identification, risk assessments, incident investigations, and root-cause analyses. Manage employee training programs and ensure EHSS awareness at all organizational levels. Drive continuous improvement through behavioral safety programs and EHSS performance metrics, including lost time incident rate for the company. Global Security Management
Develop and implement comprehensive global security strategies and protocols for personnel working in international locations. Conduct risk assessments for international deployments and identify appropriate security measures based on location-specific threats. Establish and manage relationships with global security service providers, including emergency evacuation, civil unrest monitoring, and real-time security intelligence services. Create and maintain security protocols for employee travel to high-risk regions, including pre-travel briefings, in-country support, and emergency response procedures. Monitor global security situations and provide timely alerts and guidance to traveling employees and management. Coordinate with local security resources, embassies, and emergency services in international locations. Develop security incident response protocols and manage security-related incidents involving company personnel or assets abroad. Oversee security vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance management for global security services. Maintain security incident tracking and reporting systems; analyze trends to improve security protocols. Oversee environmental compliance including air, water, waste, and chemical management programs. Lead sustainability initiatives, including energy efficiency, waste reduction, and environmental footprint tracking for the company. Manage environmental reporting, permitting, and remediation activities as necessary. Emergency Preparedness & Response
Develop and maintain emergency preparedness and business continuity plans and communications plans to convey such information to the company, service providers, and customers. Conduct drills and coordinate response actions with local emergency services and international security partners. Ensure proper communication and training at the company for crisis management and emergency response, including international security incidents. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, Security Management, or related field required. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (CSP, CIH, CHMM, PE, CPP, PSP) preferred. 10+ years of progressive EHSS experience, including at least 3–5 years in a senior management role managing a minimum of 2 people, required. Proven experience leading multi-site EHSS programs with an international footprint in manufacturing, industrial, or technology settings required, with experience in the oil and gas industry preferred. Proven experience managing global security programs for personnel operating in international locations, including risk assessment, vendor management, and incident response required. Experience developing and implementing security protocols for employees working in high-risk or politically unstable regions preferred. Demonstrated success managing relationships with global security service providers, including emergency evacuation services, travel security firms, and real-time threat monitoring providers required. Proven experience managing compliance reporting for business, service provider, and customer contracts, including within international, federal, and state frameworks. Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and local regulatory frameworks required. Knowledge of international security risk management, including civil unrest, political instability, and emergency evacuation protocols preferred. Demonstrated success in developing EHSS culture, driving measurable performance improvements, and liaising with business executives on EHSS programs required. Strategic thinker with hands-on operational experience. Excellent oral and written communication and leadership skills. Analytical mindset and business-driven approach to decision-making. Strong crisis management and decision-making skills under pressure, particularly for international security incidents. Ability to assess complex security situations and make rapid, informed decisions to protect personnel. Develops and maintains strong relationships with clients, partners, security vendors, and team members. Fosters trust and collaboration with internal and external partners to achieve shared goals. Ability to influence cross-functional teams and executive leadership. Proficient in EHSS software systems and reporting tools and global security monitoring platforms. Cultural awareness and ability to navigate international business environments and security landscapes. Additional Information
