Responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the school library media center. Manage and supervise a high-functioning library space and the technology associated with it. Provide students and staff with support for digital and print resources. Additionally, organize and oversee the district Chromebook check-in and check-out process, including handling work orders for broken or damaged devices and maintaining ongoing communication with the IT department. Minimum Requirements
Education:
Associate’s degree or two years of college courses (48 hours) preferred. Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a library, school, or office setting. Experience working with children. Licenses/Certificates:
Valid Colorado Driver's License, Substitute License when needed Other Criteria:

Criminal background check required for hire. Proven effective people skills with an ability to work cooperatively in a school atmosphere with staff members, students, and the public. Word processing/keyboarding skills with proficiency in Google Suite programs Ability to effectively read, write, speak, and listen to comply with directions and instructions to complete tasks and establish priorities. Reports actual or suspected breaches in the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of district data to appropriate district personnel. Operate the district library software system. Circulate materials, place holds, process overdue materials, and inter-library loans. Relate school-wide educational needs to book and media availability. Responsible for inventory and repair work orders for technology devices for the school. Promote and maintain positive working relationships with peers, students, parents, and the public. Schedule use of media supplies and equipment. Responsible for the budget for library supplies. Responsible for the purchase of library materials. Maintain privacy and accuracy of student records. Manage and assist students in the library space, either in small groups or whole classrooms. Have knowledge of the school's discipline policies. Provide literature appreciation and modeling, which may include reading aloud to students for scheduled classes. Inspect and repair books/materials. Maintain records, communicate with parents and students regarding lost or damaged books, and collect money for lost or damaged library books. Advise students and teachers in research methods and selection of books and materials. Always strive to stay on task and produce high-quality work. Present a professional appearance personally and in the work area. Complete and perform assigned clerical tasks to support individual staff, school-wide, and district plans. Assist with additional duties, including but not limited to student supervision, clerical, emergency substitutes for classified and/or certified positions, or other job-related duties. Manage the school’s mobile device inventory for students and staff, including coordinating repairs and collection and re-distribution of devices each school year. Manage the wireless hotspots as well as other tech devices that are maintained in the building. Adhere to the district classified handbook and the school staff handbook. Other duties as assigned. This position requires continual collaboration with a team of educators, students, and community members to effectively provide library services for all stakeholders. This position consults regularly with the Principal, Classroom Teachers, Instructional Interventionists, and student families to best meet the needs of the school. This position plays a vital role in the overall success of the school's day-to-day operations. The position requires the effective use of the following equipment: Chromebook, Google Suite Applications (i.e., Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, etc.), and copy/fax machine.
