Overview
This position is a part-time Meat Cutter at Sams Club. Base pay range: $16.00/hr - $23.00/hr. The actual pay will be based on skills and experience; discuss with your recruiter to learn more. This role involves working in the meat department, focusing on quality, packaging, and display of meat items. The job emphasizes customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
Be a Team Member: Collaborates with other associates to build a strong meat team; communicates with team members; and is flexible to work in other areas as needed. Be an Expert: Demonstrates knowledge of on-floor and backroom operations, product safety and sanitation standards, inventory management, and the operation, maintenance, and sanitization of equipment; prepares meat products according to established standards; maintains product quality. Be a Techie: Uses digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and enhance associate engagement; uses handheld technology to make decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapts to new tools and encourages others to use them. Be an Owner: Maintains operational excellence; ensures quality and date control for meat products; secures fragile/high-shrink merchandise; eliminates waste; assists members with purchasing decisions; ensures packaging, labeling, and storage comply with policies. Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocates for the department and club by valuing the member experience and modeling high-quality service and products; delivers high-quality basics with energy and commitment. Complies with company policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity; follows Open Door Policy in business processes. Completes assignments by using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, co-workers, customers, and partners; sets priorities and deadlines; communicates progress; seeks improvements and adapts to change.
