Retail Development -- Sales Manager
to join their team. This is a unique chance to join a mission-driven company that is transforming its category with fresh, nutritious, and convenient products. The brand has recently launched its retail division and is now seeking a strategic sales professional to accelerate growth, secure new placements, and expand distribution across brick and mortar channels.
Key Responsibilities
Lead account management and broker relationships to expand retail distribution and achieve growth targets.
Develop and execute channel-specific sales and promotional strategies aligned with brand and margin objectives.
Create compelling sales presentations, new item forms, and annual planning decks for retail buyers.
Analyze sales performance, velocity, and competitive trends to inform strategic decisions.
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and finance to ensure retail success.
Manage inventory levels and shipments, ensuring timely and complete deliveries across channels.
Oversee trade budgets, negotiate retailer terms, and secure favorable promotional structures.
Represent the brand with excellence at customer meetings, category reviews, and industry events.
Qualifications and Skills
5+ years of direct sales management experience, within CPG or food & beverage at an emerging growth company.
Proven track record of opening new doors and scaling retail distribution.
Strategic seller focused on building lasting partnerships, not just chasing placements.
Comfortable managing brokers and key accounts across both natural and conventional channels.
Strong understanding of P&L impact, trade spend, and margin structures; data-driven decision maker.
Exceptional storyteller and negotiator, confident presenting to buyers and building relationships at all levels.
Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Compensation Compensation Range:
$100,000 - $150,000 + commission
