Overview
A vertically integrated business with global distribution is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its experienced finance team. This role offers exposure to complex inventory and consolidation work across multiple entities and provides a clear path to grow into an Accounting Manager position. The company is undergoing modernization of its accounting processes and is looking for a proactive team member to help drive that transformation. Responsibilities
Support the accurate and timely completion of external audits Assist with special projects as needed by the CFO and management team Maintain financial schedules and related journal entries for prepaid insurance, property tax accruals, interest expense, and debt placement costs Perform daily and monthly general ledger reconciliations for subledgers including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and goods received/not invoiced Calculate monthly inventory and book related journal entries for cost of goods sold; investigate variances with operations staff Track company liabilities and maintain debt amortization schedules Manage fixed asset accounting including capitalization, disposals, depreciation, and reconciliations Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel Ability to adapt to changing requirements in a fast-paced environment Effective communicator with attention to detail and accuracy Experience with ERP systems and inventory accounting preferred Compensation
Base pay range: $75,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr This range is provided by Vaco by Highspring. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Seniority level
