Merchandising & stocking associates connect all of the dots to make sure members can find everything on their shopping list. Move inventory in the backroom, unload trucks, fulfill club pick-up orders, or help members while stocking shelves depending on shift. Assist with unloading trucks in the summer and stocking/freezing foods; maintain a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Provides member service by acknowledging the member and identifying member needs; providing guidance and support regarding self-service technology; assisting with purchasing decisions; locating merchandise; resolving member issues and concerns; and promoting the company's products and services. Maintains safety of facility by conducting safety sweeps; following forklift spotting procedures; handling and disposing of hazardous materials; following company steel standard guidelines; and reporting unsafe situations to management. Maintains the sales floor and merchandise presentation by properly zoning the area; stocking, organizing, displaying, removing damaged goods; pricing merchandise; identifying shrink and damages; and securing fragile and high-shrink items. Monitors quality by ensuring product rotation, dating, recalls, and sanitation standards; and ensuring prominent display of promotional and seasonal merchandise. Complies with policies, procedures, and ethics by applying related action plans and Open Door Policy in business processes. Completes work by prioritizing tasks, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; identifying priorities and deadlines; communicating progress; and adapting to change and feedback.
