Area Sales Manager – Electrical Infrastructure (Hybrid – Southern California) A global OEM in the electrical infrastructure sector is hiring a Regional Sales Leader to oversee a $150M+ Southern California business focused on LV/MV power distribution systems including switchgear, switchboards, transformers, and related electrification equipment. This is not a SaaS position.
Applicants must have experience selling electrical equipment into the commercial construction ecosystem (contractors, consultants, distributors, or EPCs). Base pay range
$130,000.00/yr - $220,000.00/yr Additional compensation types
Annual Bonus What You’ll Do
Lead and mentor a 12–13-person sales team driving regional growth across SoCal. Manage direct and channel sales for LV/MV power distribution equipment. Develop and execute market strategies targeting commercial, mixed-use, and electrification projects. Build and maintain C-suite and principal-level relationships with electrical contractors (ECs), design-build firms, and consulting engineers. Oversee complex bids and long-cycle projects ranging from $100K to $10M+. Drive order intake, revenue, and margin performance while preparing for higher leadership responsibility. Who You Are
10+ years in power distribution or electrification equipment sales. Proven leader of technical or field sales teams. Deep knowledge of how ECs, GCs, and distributors buy and specify electrical gear. Background from an OEM, integrator, or large electrical contractor. Existing network across Western U.S. commercial markets. Strong business acumen and ability to balance tactical selling with strategic growth. BA/BS in a related field. Ability to travel 50% in the Southern CA market. Legally authorized for employment in the USA without employer-sponsorship. Compensation & Structure
