Full Time Assistant Store Manager (Store 6321) at GameStop. Location: Cleveland, OH. Working with minimal supervision, the Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in all facets of store operations. The role develops and promotes a sales culture by creating individualized and complete solutions for every guest and providing outstanding guest service experiences through professional conduct and a passion for gaming. You will be responsible for ensuring products are easy to see and buy, building sales by sharing product and gaming knowledge with guests, maintaining a clean, organized store, and growing guest loyalty and repeat business. This position supervises Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager. Responsibilities

Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions/concerns promptly and courteously, inform guests of promotions, recommend additional items, and circulate throughout the store to prioritize guest needs. Support the total shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases/returns accurately using the POS system, including making correct changes, bagging merchandise, providing receipts, and maintaining high guest service standards. Respond to guest comments or questions in person or on the phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop guest benefits (e.g., new title reservations, trade-in program, Pro Rewards). Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training store associates in company policies, procedures, practices, and guidelines. Monitor associate performance, provide feedback, and address performance concerns to ensure alignment with guest service expectations. Provide recognition and feedback to associates; document feedback in Workday / HR service management system in partnership with the Store Manager. Ensure onboarding, job training, and compliance training are completed prior to shifts; ensure associates understand policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, and ethical responsibilities. Schedule store associates, manage breaks and meals, and supervise staffing to maintain best-in-class guest service. Approve payroll, manage paid time off, and verify accurate pay for time worked. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising per company guidelines; ensure fixtures and equipment are in proper working order. Fulfill Omni-Channel orders and ensure daily shipping. Protect company assets through inventory control and loss prevention; inspect packages/ belongings at closing as appropriate and communicate concerns to the Store Manager. Support the store team in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete required administrative duties. Perform inventory counts, restock shelves, and organize products to be represented and accessible on the sales floor. Count, balance, and reconcile daily transactions; complete closeout paperwork; manage cash and daily deposits. Verify shipments for discrepancies, conduct inventories, and communicate issues to the Store Manager/District Manager. Process defects/ recalls and stock pulls with proper labeling and packing lists. Maintain associate and guest safety; report injuries per company guidelines. Maintain organized store records/files and ensure manuals are up to date. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager. Adhere to GameStop policies and procedures and the Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct; follow opening/closing procedures. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred. At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Clear verbal and written communication and listening skills in English; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work independently and in a team; meet objectives in a fast-paced environment. Reliable, trustworthy, and able to exercise good judgment. Operate POS system; basic math and alphabetizing skills. Complete required paperwork properly and follow written, oral, or diagram instructions. Flexibility to work a schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays; minimum 3 days/week availability. Constructively manage pressure and adapt to stressful situations while maintaining guest interactions; problem-solving mindset. Ability to work alone; stand and move for extended periods; lift up to 30 lbs and perform basic physical tasks. On-the-job onboarding knowledge of military ranks and insignia where applicable.
