This role supports that vision by delivering quality prep and culinary support in a fast-paced hotel kitchen environment. What we need from you

Strong – you may need to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs (23 kg). This can involve bending, kneeling, and stooping. Literate – good reading, writing and basic math skills. Flexible – night, weekend and holiday shifts are part of the job. Compliant – you will meet local laws on food handling and serving alcohol, be above the minimum age required, and fluent in the local language. Articulate – a great communicator who is warm, welcoming and easy to talk to. Your day to day

Prepare and cook orders for daily operations, including cold foods and batch items such as sandwiches, salads, cold drinks and desserts; follow food preparation procedures. Advise supervisor of low inventory items; assist in receiving items and taking inventory as required. May assist with ware washing or other kitchen duties as needed, including greeting, seating and/or serving meals. Interact with colleagues and may occasionally interact with guests. Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards in the kitchen area to meet or exceed state/local Health Board inspection requirements and InterContinental standards. Maintain a clean, neat and organized work area, including reach-ins, walk-ins and counters; report unsafe or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor. Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication with other departments (Sales, Catering, Banquets, Outlets, Maintenance, Guest Services). Ensure general cleanliness of workspace including the kitchen and cafeteria; ensure adequate supplies of cafeteria to serve hotel employees. Perform associated opening, closing and prep work duties; prepare transport of prepared food from kitchen to cafeteria; set up stations and replenish as needed. May assist with other duties as assigned. What we offer

The hourly pay range for this role is $18.00 - $20.00.
