Job Summary Working under the direction of licensed personnel, assists patients with activities of daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and eating. Also assists with taking patients’ temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.

Essential Functions

Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs with accuracy and within established time frame and/or as requested.

Completes all documentation in the medical record as required.

Interacts with patients and their families effectively.

Provides basic hygiene tasks, including bathing, dressing, toilet assistance, and feeding.

Assists patients in turning, repositioning in bed, and moving between bed and wheelchair.

Listens to health concerns patients may have and reports them to the nurses.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Licenses & Credentials: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required), preferred certifications include Certified Medical Assistant, EMT‑Paramedic, LNA.

Experience: 1–2 years in patient care or elder care.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions, knowledge of medical terminology, strong patient/customer service skills, ability to lift up to 35 pounds, proficient computer skills for electronic medical records.

Work Location & Compensation Onsite Work Location: 300 First Avenue Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36 Employee Type: Regular Work Shift: Night (United States of America) Pay Range: $18.22 – $26.06 per hour Grade: 3
