Position Summary The
School of Business
Student Success Programs Coordinator operates out of the
Undergraduate Students Services Office
and is responsible for coordinating programming and student appointments for all students in the School of Business Atmos program, providing front-line support for student inquiries, and working with the Undergraduate Student Services Team to ensure positive student success outcomes.
The Atmos program exists for students who need support to defy the odds. It is a resource for academic, career and community support to help create an avenue for a brighter future.
The Student Success Programs Coordinator also manages the Summer Business Institute, a week-long immersive business education program for high school students.
This is a 12-month position. This position reports to the Director of Student Success in the School of Business.
In accordance with the AAUP collective bargaining agreement this position is open only to current PSU AAUP academic professionals. Article 17 Section 11 refers.
Responsibilities and Qualifications Responsibilities include coordination of programming and student appointments, frontline student inquiries, and collaboration with the Undergraduate Student Services Team to promote student success outcomes. The coordinator also manages the Summer Business Institute and supports the Atmos program.
BA/BS with 1-2 years of related experience in higher education
Experience providing coaching, counseling, mentoring, or advising to students
Ability to work collaboratively and under limited time pressures with colleagues
Prior experience working with students from historically under-served communities
Preferred Qualifications

Function and communicate effectively and respectfully within the context of varying beliefs, behaviors, orientations, identities, and cultural backgrounds.

Work Days/Hours Work Days/Hours Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, schedule to be determined
Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement Salary is dependent on several factors, and new employees will typically start around the Q1 level to allow for later growth within the salary band. PSU has a structured process for determining starting compensation, taking into account years of related experience, applicable skills, knowledge and abilities, market parity, and internal equity.
The starting annual salary for this position will be $57,000 but may be negotiated above this rate dependent upon the factors above, the budget of the hiring department, and approval from HR.
An excellent benefits package includes 95% premium paid healthcare; a generous retirement and vacation package; and reduced tuition rates for employee, spouse or dependent at any of the Oregon University System schools.
