Role Overview In this role you will work within a defined geographic territory targeting clients and prospects with 1‑49 employees. You will identify and sign new clients for payroll, tax, human resources, benefits, and more, while selling additional solutions to existing clients. Daily activities will include cultivating relationships, setting appointments, gathering leads from established partners, assessing client needs, and closing business in the field.

Responsibilities

Grow our business while growing yours – work independently and collaboratively with various teams to close sales, win business, and reach sales goals.

Turn prospects into loyal clients and raving fans – implement a sales strategy targeted to decision‑makers and business owners to build a network and capture new business.

Deepen relationships across the ADP family – cultivate additional business within existing accounts while building lasting friendships.

Collaborate daily – serve as a trusted advisor, partner, and ADP ambassador to clients, internal partners, and the network while demonstrating grace under pressure and the highest ethical standards.

Required Qualifications

Positive self‑starter – upbeat, persistent style and ability to cold call without fear of rejection, manage time well, and present ideas clearly in written, in‑person, and over the phone.

Agile solution seeker – problem‑solving skills to find answers or solutions, even in fast‑paced change.

Continuous learner – always learning, growing, and questioning how things were done to make them better.

College degree is great but not required. Acceptable experience may include:

One to two years of prior work experience or internships in Retail, Marketing, Business Development, Food Service, Insurance Sales, or another relevant industry.

Prior military experience focused on teamwork, resilience, negotiation, trust‑building, and a "never lose" mentality.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior quota‑carrying experience.

Ability to build a network and use social media effectively for sales.

In California, compensation range is $33,400 – $72,100 / year. The compensation for this role is USD $35,900.00 – USD $77,700.00 / Year*
