Position Overview
The Department of Revenue’s Administrative Services Division seeks a Web Developer and Content Architect to serve as the primary web presence strategist for both internal and public-facing sites. The incumbent will design, develop, maintain, and enhance web solutions using modern technologies and content management systems, including Microsoft SharePoint Online (Office 365), Sitefinity CMS, and related tools.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain the Department’s Internet and intranet sites within a secure, standards‑compliant and accessible environment.
Translate business needs into functional, engaging web solutions with high technical autonomy.
Collaborate with subject‑matter experts, stakeholders across all divisions, and external vendors to deliver on project goals.
Ensure adherence to accessibility, security, and information‑architecture standards set by the Department and the State.
Provide full lifecycle support for web projects, including testing, documentation and ongoing enhancements.
Qualifications
Four years of computer programming experience in a recognized language, with at least one year in a business application or similar specialty.
Knowledge of web technologies, security policies, privacy practices and user‑interface issues.
Proficiency in web development, software design, testing, and software‑development best practices.
Experience with information‑systems or network‑security concepts and the ability to develop security plans.
Strong analytical skills and ability to present alternative technologies or approaches.
Technical competence derived from formal training or extensive on‑the‑job experience.
Education & Substitution • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field with at least 18 semester (24 quarter) hours of coursework may substitute for one year of required experience. • An associate’s degree may substitute for nine months of experience.
