Hospital CVOR RN | December Start – Palo Alto
Start Date: December 2025 | 13-Week Contract
We’re seeking an experienced CVOR RN for a travel assignment at a leading hospital in Palo Alto, California. This is a hospital-based role in a high-acuity cardiovascular operating room, offering the opportunity to work with advanced technology and a collaborative team.
Position Highlights

Setting: Hospital – Cardiovascular Operating Room
Start Window: December 2025
Contract Length: 13 weeks, with potential for extension
Schedule: 3x12s (36 hours/week)
Shift: Days, Variable start times (6:30, 8:45, or 10:45); must be available for overnight call (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) as needed
Required Qualifications
Must be a traveler (permanent address 50+ miles from the facility)
CA RN License
3+ years of CVOR RN experience
Ability to scrub: Complex Cardiac, Vascular and Thoracic Surgeries
Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association); ACLS; EPIC EMR proficiency
Prior travel RN experience
Additional Compliance Requirements
TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)
Current Health Certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site
Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and clients; proficiency in English required
Computer proficiency required
What You’ll Do Provide perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular surgical procedures, scrub and assist surgeons, monitor patient status, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective outcomes.
