Director of Finance Compensation:

$250,000 annually + Profit Sharing & Benefits Job Type:

Full-Time Overview

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Finance to lead the financial operations of a well-established and growing company specializing in high-end residential and commercial construction. This role will partner closely with the CEO and executive team to drive financial performance, optimize operational efficiency, and support the company’s continued growth and profitability. Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Strategy

Provide financial direction and oversight for all aspects of the business, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning. Collaborate directly with the CEO to develop and execute financial strategies that align with company growth objectives. Ensure financial compliance, optimize capital allocation, and maximize profitability across all business units.

Team Management & Development

Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, including a Controller, Staff Accountant, and an international accounting team of six based in India. Foster accountability, collaboration, and professional growth within the department. Strengthen communication and coordination between operations, project management, and accounting teams.

Operational Oversight

Oversee the financial execution of high-end residential projects exceeding $30M and commercial tenant improvement projects. Ensure accurate project accounting, cost control, and timely financial reporting. Utilize tools such as Procore and Yardi to enhance financial transparency and operational efficiency.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

Develop and maintain KPIs to evaluate financial health and operational performance. Present regular financial insights, reports, and recommendations to the CEO and leadership team. Drive data-informed decision-making to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.

Stakeholder & Client Relations

Serve as a financial point of contact for A-list clientele, ensuring trust and confidentiality. Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and external partners to ensure project success.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred). Minimum 8 years of senior financial leadership experience, ideally within construction, real estate, or property management. Expertise in Procore, Yardi, and financial management systems. Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational success. Exceptional strategic thinking, communication, and analytical skills. Perks and Benefits
