Senior Business Analyst - Hybrid (Local candidates only - Dallas, Tx)
Sum Theory is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to assist the UKG/Kronos Workforce Management Implementation project. Project Background: The goal of this initiative is to transition from UKG Workforce Central (On-Premise) to UKG Workforce Management (Cloud) for time and attendance tracking across more than 7,000 County employees. The project has missed several go-live dates, and there are ongoing issues with various configurations, integrations, and employee group setups. To move the project forward, we are requesting an external Senior Business Analyst to re-establish structure, accountability, and progress toward a successful go-live within a reasonable timeline. DUTIES: Requirements Analysis & Management:
Lead and facilitate workshops, interviews, and working sessions with stakeholders to gather, define, document, and manage complex business and technical requirements. Process Improvement:
Evaluate current business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies, recommend enhancements, and design optimized solutions that improve accuracy, productivity, and compliance. Testing & Quality Assurance : Develop and coordinate comprehensive test plans; support QA and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business needs and system functionality. Documentation & Reporting : Create and maintain detailed documentation including business cases, functional specifications, process models, user stories, and training materials. Prepare regular reports on requirements status, testing outcomes, and project metrics. Stakeholder Communication : Build and maintain strong relationships with business users, IT teams, and external partners. Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, managing expectations and facilitating alignment. Solution Design & Development Support : Collaborate closely with development and technical teams to ensure clear understanding of requirements and provide ongoing clarification throughout the SDLC (Agile or Waterfall). Project Coordination:
Support the Project Manager in planning and coordinating key project phases such as UAT, ensuring deliverables align with project goals, scope, and schedule. REQUIREMENTS: Proven experience as a Business Analyst on large-scale technology or ERP/WFM implementations. Demonstrated success gathering and managing requirements for complex, multi-departmental systems. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly. Experience collaborating with executive stakeholders and technical teams to drive consensus and decision-making. Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Visio, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and experience with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies. Leadership skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders, manage conflicts, and mentor junior analysts. Experience with Oracle Fusion and/or UKG Kronos (Workforce Central and Workforce Management Cloud) platforms.
