Lead and manage the estimating team for all HVAC/R projects Analyze plans, specifications, and documentation to develop detailed cost estimates Perform takeoffs for ductwork, piping, refrigeration, and controls Develop labor rates and cost models using historical data and market trends Oversee subcontractor/vendor relationships to secure competitive pricing Conduct risk assessments and support bid strategy development Coordinate bid review meetings with project managers and executives Present final estimates and bid packages to executive leadership Track and report on bid activity, win/loss ratios, and department KPIs Mentor junior estimators and oversee quality control of all bids Collaborate with sales and project managers to align estimating with business goals Support contract negotiations and project transitions post-award Implement continuous improvement processes and tools for the estimating function Qualifications

7–10+ years of HVAC/R estimating experience (3+ years in a senior or leadership role) Strong interpersonal and communication skills Proven ability to lead and mentor a high‑performing team Excellent organizational and time management abilities Proficiency in reading mechanical plans and performing accurate takeoffs Knowledge of HVAC/R systems, materials, and construction methods Familiarity with Trimble estimating software preferred Financial acumen: cost forecasting, margin analysis, cash flow implications Experience with CRM or proposal tracking systems Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred Benefits
