Join the Plutonium Infrastructure Engineering Division (PIE-DO), supporting installation efforts at LANL’s TA-55 facility. You’ll be part of a mission-critical, high-consequence environment, directly enabling national security and nuclear modernization by supporting construction and engineering activities on some of the nation’s most sensitive infrastructure. Responsibilities and Duties
Serve as technical lead across planning, design, field execution, and project closeout Manage design change processes, including coordination with internal/external teams Provide technical support for construction teams during installation and commissioning Facilitate stakeholder communication, including AHJ and SMEs Ensure compliance with LANL’s Conduct of Engineering and NQA-1 standards Minimum Qualifications
Working knowledge of engineering contracts and construction interfaces Familiarity with engineering codes and standards (NEC, IBC, ASME, etc.) Effective communicator; strong interpersonal skills for cross-team collaboration Experience in technical documentation and submittal review Proficiency in MS Office, Teams, and willingness to learn LANL tools Desired Skills
Familiarity with DOE orders (e.g., DOE O 413.3B), glovebox systems, and AutoCAD Previous experience in regulated environments (DOE, DoD, pharma, oil/gas, power plants) Education and Experience Requirements
Required:
Bachelor’s in Engineering + 3 years’ experience Desired:
