Responsibilities
Conduct routine to moderately-complex audits and refund reviews involving transaction privilege and use tax
Prepare detailed audit working papers and findings for final audit memorandums
Research and resolve taxpayer appeals in a timely and accurate manner
Educate taxpayers on tax laws and ensure compliance throughout the audit process
Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience that meets the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA) requirements
Minimum of six (6) months of audit-related experience
Basic knowledge of transaction privilege and use tax laws, policies, and procedures
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, especially PivotTables
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a closely related field
Experience with Continuous Improvement/LEAN methodologies
Bilingual in English and Spanish
