Job Responsibilities
Prepare patients and/or families for imaging procedures and examinations; conduct procedures following protocols and guidelines.
Maintain expertise in specialized exams, such as complex surgical and fluoroscopy procedures.
Anticipate and respond to patient needs, recognize pathology requiring additional imaging, and relay abnormal findings to the radiologist.
Facilitate OR imaging schedule, assign appropriate equipment, and perform imaging for complex OR procedures.
Coordinate maintenance of OR imaging equipment and serve as super‑user, training non‑OR techs on equipment use.
Act as a resource for surgical staff and non‑OR techs regarding OR imaging questions and concerns.
Maintain required competencies in other imaging areas.
Address customer needs with courtesy and attentiveness; provide education and emotional support to families as needed.
Communicate promptly with patients, families, and employees, and solve problems creatively with managerial assistance.
Serve as a knowledge resource by sharing expertise, educating peers, students, residents, and fellows on OR imaging skills.
Document equipment malfunctions and perform necessary adjustments or repairs.
Lead process/quality improvement activities for OR imaging, measure and report results, develop strategic plans, and participate in improvement teams.
Job Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Three or more years of related work experience.
ARRT(R) Registration.
Licensed by the Ohio Department of Health.
