About the School of Computing Instruction (SCI) SCI was created to serve the critical need for high‑quality foundational computing instruction, as required by every Georgia Tech student’s programming course. SCI’s core missions are: creativity and innovation, scalability of instruction, and transparency & meaningful dialogue.
Job Summary SCI invites applications for multiple full‑time, long‑term faculty positions. The appointment will be Lecturer or Senior Lecturer, depending on past teaching experience. Contracts are renewable, with an expected start in January 2025 at the Atlanta campus. Summer teaching is typically available, and faculty may teach at study‑abroad campuses during the summer.
Responsibilities Primary responsibilities: provide high‑quality undergraduate teaching in a 2–3 class load, supported by a teaching assistant for every 25 students. Opportunities to teach graduate courses and participate in service at School, College, and Institute levels. Faculty are encouraged to engage in scholarship, curriculum development, and related activities, for which funding is earmarked.

Graduate degree in Computer Science or related area.
At least six (6) years full‑time relevant experience.
Note: Candidates may hold a Senior Lecturer title with an additional 6‑year experience criterion.
