Why this job – SENIOR ACCOUNTANT The Senior Accountant plays a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the organization's financial records. This position is responsible for supporting daily accounting operations—including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance—while assisting with month‑end and year‑end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, demonstrates strong analytical skills, and upholds compliance with company policies and GAAP standards. This role also contributes to process improvements, supports audits and special projects, and provides insight that helps drive informed business decisions.
What You'll Actually Do
Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Support the month‑end and year‑end close within the first five business days
Reconcile bank, balance sheet, and subsidiary ledger accounts
Assist in preparing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
Conduct variance analysis and identify areas for improvement
Support internal and external audits, providing required documentation
Assist with sales tax filings, compliance reporting, and ad hoc analysis
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency
Partner cross‑functionally to ensure accurate reporting and collaboration
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
2‑4 years of progressive accounting experience
Solid understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivots, reconciliations)
NetSuite or similar ERP experience preferred
Detail‑oriented, organized, and effective communicator
Self‑starter who meets deadlines and adapts to shifting priorities
Collaborative team player with a hands‑on approach

100% in office – Westminster area | Generous flexibility & balance (40–45 hours/week)
