Key Responsibilities Of The Senior Accountant
Lead and manage the month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
Oversee general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
Support budgeting and forecasting efforts, including variance analysis and reporting.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and documentation.
Handle complex intercompany transactions and reconciliations across multiple entities.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support financial operations and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications Of The Senior Accountant
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
3–4+ years of progressive accounting experience; multi‑entity experience preferred.
Strong understanding of GAAP, monthly close processes, accruals, and reconciliations.
Proficiency in Excel; ERP system experience required (NetSuite preferred).
Public Accounting start‑up - Big 4 or large regional firm.
