WHOM WE SEEK

Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church is seeking a Major Gifts Officer to play a pivotal role in growing the All Angels Foundation and advancing parish priorities through capital campaigns and major-gift fundraising. This position will inspire generosity by building meaningful, long-term relationships with parishioners and friends, guiding them in making gifts that reflect their faith and values. The ideal candidate combines strong fundraising skills with a deep commitment to our mission of discipleship, stewardship, and transformation. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and steward the All Angels Society and other planned giving initiatives to expand the Foundation’s legacy impact. Plan and execute capital campaign strategies in partnership with the Director of Advancement and campaign leadership, including quiet and public phases, gift tables, prospect pipelines, volunteer engagement, timelines, and reporting. Manage a portfolio of major and planned gift donors, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding gifts that advance Foundation and capital campaign priorities; develop individualized strategies, and coordinate leadership and peer solicitations. Serve as a trusted resource to parishioners and their advisors on planned giving options (bequests, trusts, charitable gift annuities, and more). Partner with Communications to create print, digital, and event materials that share the Foundation’s story and encourage generosity. Lead and support Foundation donor events, recognition gatherings, and educational seminars. Provide oversight of Memorial and Honorarium Giving. Keep detailed and timely records in the CRM system. Collaborate with the All Angels Foundation Trustees and Advancement staff to strengthen and expand donor engagement. We Expect Our Major Gifts Officer Will

Communicate clearly, pastorally, and persuasively in both written and spoken forms. CORE COMPETENCIES

Fundraising experience: 5+ years of success in major gifts and/or planned giving. Knowledge base: Familiarity with gift planning tools, endowments, and legacy giving strategies. Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a strong ability to listen and respond to donor values. Organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple projects, events, and donor relationships simultaneously. Faith alignment: Comfortable speaking about generosity, discipleship, and faith in an Episcopal setting. Technology: Proficiency with CRM systems, moves-management, Microsoft Office, and Teams. Flexibility: Willingness to engage with donors on evenings/weekends when needed.
