Job Description This position is responsible for coordinating and exercising functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of capital maintenance and engineering projects within the assigned responsibility area. Responsibilities include leading the full project lifecycle from technical studies and design to scheduling, budgeting, and reporting, while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, or meet other key objectives.
Perform or oversee specific phases such as technical studies, product design, specification preparation, technical planning, and product testing.
Coordinate activities related to technical developments, scheduling, and resolve engineering design and test problems.
Control expenditures within the project budget limits.
Prepare interim and final project reports.
Provide functional and technical support to factories to minimize production and maintenance issues.
Apply engineering expertise to equipment design, problem solving, and quality improvement.
Serve as a technical advisor or project manager for PRC and key support projects.
Apply Total Quality Management principles: “Do the job right the first time,” establishing requirements and process maps to meet customer requirements.
Expected Experience & Required Skills
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field (preferred).
5+ years of full‑cycle project management experience.
Strong background in mechanical and hydraulic systems, packaging methods, materials, electronics, computer applications, and electrical systems.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, nights, and overtime as needed.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams on large capital projects/programs of $20 million or more.
Location This role can be located at the Chicago Aon Center or at any of the following plant locations: Garland, Springfield, New Ulm, Davenport, Jax Coffee, Columbia, Coshocton, Newberry, Kirksville, Woodstock.
Work Environment & Schedule Normal office environment with moderate travel to customer locations, stores, and manufacturing facilities. Normal working hours with up to 40% travel across North America.
Compensation Base Salary:
$118,400.00 – $148,000.00
Bonus:
Eligible for a performance‑based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
