Playwright Automation & API Test Engineer (Web Application Testing)
Location: Denver, CO & Charlotte, NC (Onsite)
We are seeking an experienced Associate-level Test Engineer with strong hands‑on expertise in Playwright automation, API testing, and manual testing to support in-house web application testing for our client. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical automation skills, functional testing experience, and a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality product releases.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright for web application testing.
Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar frameworks.
Perform manual testing to validate functional, UI, and integration aspects of web applications.
Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify, reproduce, and track defects to closure.
Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test reports.
Participate in test strategy discussions, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and adherence to quality standards.
Support continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines with automated test suites.
Work closely with product owners and business analysts for requirement validation and acceptance testing.
Required Skills & Experience
Overall Experience: 5–10 years in software testing, with a strong background in web application testing.
Playwright Experience: Minimum 3–4 years of hands‑on experience in Playwright automation (TypeScript/JavaScript or Python preferred).
Strong experience in API Testing (manual and automation).
Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile testing methodologies.
Proficiency in bug tracking tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.) is a plus.
Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
