Physician - OB Hospitalist - High Risk
Ascension is seeking an experienced OB Hospitalist - High Risk for its St. Vincent Women’s location in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Job Details
Schedule: 12 hour shifts (168 annually) or 24 hour shifts (84 annually). Includes weekdays, weekends, day/night shifts, holidays.
Call Schedule: None.
EMR System: Sunrise.
Facility: Ascension St. Vincent Hospital Indianapolis.
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana.

Responsibilities
Provide full‑spectrum obstetrical coverage in a level IV perinatal care center with level I trauma verification and Level IV NICU.
Serve as MFM extender, participating in daily rounds with the MFM team.
Deliver patients admitted to the high‑risk team and assess triage patients upon arrival.
Assist with incoming maternal transports.
Support efforts to reduce maternal morbidity and mortality in Indiana.
Possibly teach residents and learners at the obstetrics residency program.
Requirements
MD or DO credentialed by the Indiana Medical Licensing Board prior to hire.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) credential preferred (AHA).
Minimum 4‑5 years OB/GYN experience preferred.
Demonstrated clinical competence and excellent communication skills.
Educational Requirements
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
