Responsibilities We are seeking a PRN Board Certified OBGYN MD/DO with at least two years of experience for our new OB Hospitalist program.
The OB Hospitalist will be responsible for:
Managing labor up to and including delivery, as requested by generalist physicians
Urgent postpartum care as requested by the assigned physician
Managing unassigned patients who present to the OB Unit or Emergency Room
Triage of all patients presenting to the unit unless directly admitted
Performing cesarean deliveries when necessary
Performing circumcisions
Communicating with Maternal–Fetal Medicine on consults and actions when requested
Operating within a Level IV hospital and nursery, Level IV maternity center, and NICU
24‑hour dedicated OB anesthesia support
Outpatient office hours as needed
Serving a rapidly growing suburban market with a predominantly private payer mix
Location includes women's and infants hospital services
Call Schedule: dedicated on‑site call coverage with frequencies and responsibilities as noted above.
Projected 2,000 deliveries per year.
Qualifications
MD or DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board, obtained prior to the hire date or job transfer date
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
Requirements Education required: MD or DO.
