RESEARCH DATA ANALYST, School of Public Health, Epidemiology Location: Boston, MA, United States

Job Type: Full‑time, Regular.

Salary Range: $62,525.00–$81,200.00 (subject to change based on qualifications).

This role is an in‑person position on the Boston University Medical Campus with occasional remote work.

Responsibilities

Apply advanced analytic methods to data from the large prospective cohort study Pregnancy Study Online (PRESTO).

Conduct data analysis and assist other research team members (students, staff, and investigators) with their analyses and manuscripts.

Perform data management, documentation of procedures, and quality control.

Statistical programming using SAS (primary), R, Excel and Access.

Prepare datasets for external investigators, birth registry linkage, and present data in tabular or graphical form.

Assist with scientific conference presentations and produce data tables and figures for journal manuscripts.

Generate preliminary data for grant proposals.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in public health, epidemiology, or biostatistics, or bachelor’s degree plus at least 3 years of full‑time data analytic experience on an epidemiologic study.

Solid background in epidemiology.

Proficiency in SAS, Access, Excel and data management for analysis projects.

Experience with descriptive statistics, stratification, and multivariable regression (linear, log‑binomial, Cox) using SAS.

Experience with multiple imputations, spline regression, inverse probability weighting, and measurement error correction.

Extensive knowledge of study design, questionnaire development, and methodological issues related to bias and confounding.

Ability to write and publish scientific manuscripts as co‑author.

Self‑motivated to work independently and deliver high‑quality work.
