Position Summary
We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations for an industrial manufacturing project within the nuclear sector. This role is responsible for overseeing daily production activities, managing personnel and resources, and ensuring compliance with nuclear quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in regulated manufacturing environments and proven leadership in high-precision, high-compliance production settings.
Key Responsibilities Manage and coordinate all aspects of complex component production, including scheduling, staffing, and workflow optimization Ensure compliance with NQA-1, DOE, NRC, and internal quality and safety standards Supervise production teams and provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to meet project milestones and resolve production issues Monitor production metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, material usage, and equipment performance Support audits, inspections, and customer reviews with operational transparency and traceability Oversee equipment maintenance planning and ensure readiness of manufacturing assets Enforce contamination control protocols and cleanroom procedures where applicable Manage production budgets, resource allocation, and capital planning Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field 5+ years of experience in production management, preferably in the nuclear, aerospace, or defense industries Proven leadership and team management skills in a high-compliance environment Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting DOE or NRC-regulated projects Knowledge of NQA-1 and nuclear regulatory frameworks Familiarity with complex systems or high-speed rotating equipment Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production control tools Master's degree in Engineering, Operations, or Business Other Job Requirements:
United States Citizenship Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Security clearance. Active clearance is a plus.
