The Lefler Law Firm, PLLC is growing and seeks a Texas-licensed attorney to help serve our estate planning, probate, and guardianship clients. Our strong preference is for candidates with meaningful experience in estate planning and/or probate—but we are also open to accomplished attorneys from other practice areas who know they want to pivot into this work and bring proven client, drafting, and case-management skills.

The Role
Draft and revise wills, trusts, and related estate planning documents Manage estate administrations from opening to close (drafting pleadings, attend hearings, issues notices, prepare accountings) Advise clients on incapacity planning, beneficiary designations, and risk-aware strategies (Optional/as applicable) Handle guardianship matters Collaborate with the firm’s principals and team Who You Are (Two Strong Paths)
Preferred Track – Estate/Probate Experience Hands-on experience in estate planning and/or probate (ideally 3–8+ years) Comfortable running matters end-to-end with strong drafting and client counseling Transition Track – Established Attorney Pivoting In Texas-licensed attorney with at least 2+ years of active practice in any discipline that may translate well into our estate planning/probate practice Exceptional writing, organization, and client care; clear commitment to supporting our practice in estate planning/probate (training and mentorship provided) Guardianship experience is a plus on either track. Texas bar license in good standing Professionalism, reliability, and a client-first mindset Strong drafting skills and attention to detail Ability to manage deadlines and communicate clearly with clients and the court What We Offer
