Job Description The Leasing Manager supports the leasing operations of two multifamily properties in Grand Rapids. This position plays a key role in achieving occupancy goals through excellent customer service, leasing performance, and day‑to‑day administrative support. The Leasing Manager works closely with the Senior Leasing Manager to implement leasing strategies, maintain resident satisfaction, and support the success of the leasing team.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

Assist in all aspects of leasing, including showing apartments, processing applications, verifying qualifications, and preparing lease agreements.

Support marketing and outreach efforts to attract qualified prospective residents.

Consistently follow up with leads to ensure a high level of engagement and conversion.

Maintain accurate and organized leasing documentation and reports using Yardi CRM.

Deliver exceptional customer service to prospects, residents, and coworkers.

Assist with the lease renewal process, including distributing notices and following up with residents.

Support office functions such as answering phones, responding to emails, processing service requests, and managing supply inventory.

Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure timely resolution of resident issues.

Maintain compliance with Fair Housing laws, company policies, and local regulations.

Participate in on‑site events and community engagement initiatives.

Report to and take direction from the Senior Leasing Manager and Area Director.

Required Skills & Experience

1–2 years of leasing, sales, or customer service experience preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, and leasing software (Yardi CRM preferred).

Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations or willingness to learn.

Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and a desire to grow in the property management industry.
