Position Title: Amazon Marketplace Specialist

With a base in Miami, Florida and a global audience, the brand blends storytelling, art, and character-driven merchandising. The brand has Amazon, Kindle, Barnes & Noble, and other sales channels.
Role Summary The Amazon Marketplace Specialist will take ownership of the Amazon channel for the brand: from listing optimization, inventory sync, advertising campaigns, launch management of new titles or products, to data analysis and revenue growth. You will be the “Amazon owner” within the business, working cross-functionally with brand marketing, creative, and fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities
Create, optimize, and maintain Amazon product listings (titles, bullet points, A+ content, search terms) to maximize discoverability and conversion.
Manage all aspects of the Amazon catalog: new ASIN launches, copywriting, image review, bundle creation, variations, pricing strategy.
Develop and execute Amazon Advertising campaigns (Sponsored Products, Brands, Display) and optimize for ACoS, ROAS, and profitability.
Monitor and manage inventory levels, ship-from/store-to-Amazon (FBA) logistics, liaising with fulfillment partners or internal supply chain.
Perform regular keyword research and competitor analysis for the children’s book category and any branded merchandise; provide insights to the marketing team.
Analyze Amazon sales data, advertising metrics, and inventory metrics; provide weekly/monthly reports including insights and recommendations.
Collaborate with the marketing team on promotional calendars (new book launches, seasonal themes, bundles, holiday campaigns) and ensure Amazon alignment.
Handle backend Amazon operations: review feedback, manage product reviews & Q&A, handle policy compliance, suppress/remove content flags, manage storefront assets.
Stay up to date on Amazon marketplace policies, algorithm changes, children’s book category best practices, and emerging features (e.g., Amazon Live, Prime Day offers).
Drive growth: set quarterly Amazon revenue & margin targets, build action plans, test new initiatives (e.g., Amazon International or Amazon KDP opportunities) for expansion.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2–3 years of experience managing Amazon Marketplace (Seller Central or Vendor Central) ideally in retail, publishing, or branded goods.
Proven record of increasing Amazon sales through listing optimization, advertising, and catalog management.
Strong analytical skills: comfortable working with spreadsheets, pivot tables, deriving insights from large data sets.
Experience with Amazon advertising: creating campaigns, managing budgets, optimizing bids, analyzing performance metrics (ACoS, TACoS, ROAS).
Familiarity with Amazon listing tools and systems (Helium 10, Jungle Scout, Sonar, Amazon’s Brand Analytics, etc.).
Excellent written communication skills for crafting optimized product copy, engaging listing content, and briefing creatives.
Self-motivated, remote‐capable and disciplined: ability to manage workload, deadlines, and cross-functional projects with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational skills: managing multiple SKUs, launches and promotions simultaneously.
Comfort working in a fast-moving, small team environment where you may wear multiple hats.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience within children’s book publishing or licensed merchandise business.
Experience with Amazon KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing) or Amazon DSP.
Familiarity with Amazon international marketplaces (Canada, UK, EU) and international logistics.
Basic graphic design skills or ability to review and provide feedback on visual content.
Experience working in a creative brand environment, collaborating with authors/illustrators/brand teams.
