Job Summary Head Women’s Soccer Coach (USC Upstate, Spartanburg, SC). The Head Coach is responsible for the overall administration and success of the women’s soccer program, including teaching and coaching, practice planning, skill development, conditioning, academic progress monitoring, recruiting, scheduling opponents, budget management, community outreach, fundraising, camps, clinics, and program regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5 or more years of related experience (or equivalent combination of certification, training, education, or experience).
Master’s degree, college‑level coaching/playing experience, USSF or NSCAA coaching license preferred.
Knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and regulations preferred.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, computer skills, and strong written and oral communication.
Job Duties
Direct all scheduling for the program (competition, travel, practice, and conditioning).
Ensure academic success of student‑athletes with academic support staff.
Monitor, forecast, and manage program budget and expenditures.
Lead all recruiting initiatives, including off‑campus evaluations, contacts, visits, and scholarship offers.
Conduct all coaching responsibilities (practice, competition, skill development, conditioning).
Fundraise for the program through support solicitation and participation in fundraising events (alumni outreach, clinics, auctions, tournaments).
Perform duties assigned by the sport administrator or Director of Athletics.
